firefox wont connect when using my router

so i came home from school for the summer and reconnected my computer back up to my family's Dlink router. strangly, after a few days now i cant browse the web, but aim and stuff still connect. when i take the router offline and plug in directly to my modem, everything works fine. why is this?

i triple checked all my ip and connection and LAN settings, and even disabled all my software firewalls. everything checks out fine. something must be wierd with the router.

i power cycled my modem, and reset the router many times also.

any help?

yes IE works, but it seems i fixed the problem. i did a system restore and reset the router back to factory default settings

thanks for the response

Yeah, ive had the same problem with my Dlink. I ended up calling them and they walked me through the fix. It has to do with the settings, I dont really recall what I had to change.
