Firefox woes

I've been using Firefox for a long time and I love it, but recently it has been acting up.

- Images sometimes will not load (sometimes just a few, sometimes all), yet it works fine in Opera and IE
- Web pages sometimes will not load, even though it was working a minute ago, yet it works fine in Opera and IE
- The Spellbound plugin does not work. I can access it via the extensions menu and change the options, and i have added the little button to my menu, but it is ALWAYS greyed out so I can't use it.

Can anyone help me with these problems?

update: it seems to be on and off, and now it is happening with forum images on another site (it's IPB, and the threads display all ghetto style). And it's only certain images. Anyone know what's up?

Just a crazy idea, but have you limited the size of firefox's cache at all?

update 2: this is also happening for whole webpages now. one moment i'll be able to visit a web page, and the next it will say that it cannot be found even though it works perfectly in opera and IE. this is getting very annoying.

First maybe try emptying your cache, if you haven't already. That seems to be an effective fix for an oddly large number of firefox problems. If that doesn't work maybe just try a complete uninstall/reinstall.
