Firefox window won't open in full screen mode?

When I open up Firefox, it doesn't open up in full screen mode. I tried to usual trick where you maximize the window, and hold shift and close the box. That normally sets it to open it the next time in full screen mode, but it doesn't seem to be doing that anymore. What could be the problem here? And this began happening after my house had a brownout. Don't know how that would affect this though.

Try this. Rclick which ever shortcut ur using to open FF and choose properties. Under the Shortcut tab, next to "Run:", set it to MAXIMIZED in the dropdown and click OK and then try to open FF again.

he said he wanted full screen not maximized(or at least i think thats what he means)

but anyway just press F11 to toggle fullscreen mode, maybe it will get itself stuck that way.

Oh, sorry. You may be correct. When I read "I tried to usual trick where you maximize the window, and hold shift and close the box", it must have thrown me off. Is that really a trick? I never heard it before. Heh, my interpritation powers must be on half power tonight.

Actually, this is what I meant. Thanks very much!
edit: It works when I initially open Firefox as expected, but it still opens up new windows(like when I click on links on forums) in a messed up window size.
