Typically when I click on an unlinked part of a webpage, it will just focus on the window and I can use the up down arrows on my keyboard to scroll... (laptop, no scroll wheel) however now, when I click on the page, I get a cursor! and my up down arrows move it line by line down the page, it's annoying. how can I fix?

I've tried reinstalling to no avail.

Caret browsing. In Mozilla, it's F7 to enable/disable. If that doesn't work in Firefox, go to about:config and look for "caret" - accessibility.browsewithcaret is the pref in Mozilla, and it should be false.

Wow! Weirdest thing ever (but cool), it's amazing all the little stuff you have no idea about until someone tells you about them. Thanks CTho :)
