Firefox Tab behavior

Ok, I'm confuzzled and Google isn't coming up with anything on this.

I had to reinstall Windows last night (I was still on the Windows 7 release candidate and it was about to expire - yay). Cash is tight and I didn't want to purchase Windows 7 right now, so I went back to Vista Home Basic which was the only thing I already have a license for.

Anyways, one of the first things I reinstalled was Firefox. HOWEVER, it seems that for some reason(maybe a version change), the tabs in it are not behaving more like Chrome than Firefox. Specifically, when I open a new tab it opens next to the current tab rather than at the end of the list. I've looked in preferences and doesn't see any option mentioning this.

Is there a way to make work the old way? Google only seems to pull up addons that make it work THIS way when searching for a solution.

Thanks.

In about:config set this value to false. They changed the behavior in the latest version. I don't like it either...

browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent;false

You know every other modern browser opens tabs like this, because it makes much more sense. Firefox did it wrong in the first place and finally corrected it.

i disagree, they should have added this sh*t as an option, people weren't using firefox all this time because it was doing it wrong.

The new way sucks, and doesn't work with my browsing style at all. I keep about 15 tabs open at all times, and it carries from session to session. I also know exactly where each those tabs fall in alignment. If I open up a new tab, I expect it to go to the end, and not screw up my tab order.
