Firefox suddenly reconfigured itself

I was playing BF2 last night and when I quit I go to surf the web and firefox is behaving all wierd. Clicking on links which used to open new windows now opens them in a new tab (which of course does not automatically focus to it) and when I use my mouse wheel instead of scrolling the page it adjusts the font size. Who knows what else changed...

What the hell could have happened?

your CTRL button was held down somehow...
ctrl + click opens a new tab, ctrl + mouse wheel adjusts font size
