Firefox slows down again in youtube, possible after windows 10 1709 update

I have something strange for the last 2 weeks since the 56 update, firefox was running fine when looking at youtube movies and fast.
Since this weekend, firefox freezes on youtube content for a few seconds and then continous.
I did just have a windows 10 1709 update.
Firefox is version 56.0.2.
I have an RX480 with the latest graphic drivers and i am doing some testing with hardware acceleration enabled and disabled for firefox (tools/options/ performance).
I am not sure where the problem may be.
Anybody experiences the same issues?

Well, after disabling hardware acceleration, restarting and using firefox for a while seemed to have resolved the issue even with multiple youtube pages open.
I then enabled hardware acceleration again to see if i could replicate the issue, restarted and did the same tests and it seems to work all again for now. At the moment it is all oke again.

It seems after seeing your other posts, you have a train wreck for a system. Something did not go right with the install. My suggestion is to roll back to the previous OS. You will loose any apps installed since the update. If it is stable on the previous OS let it update again. If it is not stable....; fix it prior to the upgrade

This is your problem. Roll back to the WHQL drivers, AMD's newest drivers cause issues with 1709.

Try using Firefox Quantum. Problem should go away. Beta right now, but final release goes live tomorrow (11/14).
