Firefox shows "Server not found" only for Reddit entry in bookmarks

Red Squirrel

No Lifer
This is a weird one, whenever I go to Reddit from my bookmarks, it will show "Server not found" right away, without actually trying to connect. I have to hit refresh and then it loads fine. It only seems to do it to that one site, and always when going from bookmarks. Occasionally it will do it when I click a link that goes to that site. If I type it manually in the address bar then it works all the time.

What would cause this to happen, and why only one site? Using Firefox 33.0 on Linux Mint 17.1.

Nope did not work. What's weird is how it just goes straight to that page, like it does not actually try to load it. If I hit try again nothing happens. If I go in the address bar and hit enter then it loads the site. It's just weird that it's only doing it for that one site, too. I also cleared my cache and stuff.

This was happening for a while and now randomly stopped. Still really strange. Was doing it to me at work too on a different machine, but same OS and I presume same FF version but I don't recall. I'm at 37 now, so not sure if this was a weird bug and it got fixed, or what. I still find it odd that it was only that one site. It was too unpredictable as well for me to run a packet sniffer to see if I can determine if it's even trying to connect. But given how fast it was erroring out I don't think it was actually trying.
