Just a tiny rant / comment. Every time I install Firefox, the first thing I do is customize the toolbar and add the 'add tab' button.

Should be there by default IMO. Not a huge deal, but would be nice if they flaunted their tabbed browsing a bit more to the people who are new to firefox.

Having a third button means I don't have to use anything like that. :p

EDIT: Ok, maybe I do need something like that. But the keyboard combinations work perfectly.

Rarely do you need to create a new tab without a CTRL-click, I wish there were an easy way to show the keyboard shortcuts. If I ever add a tab I use CTRL-T.

You are right though, the methods to get into tabbed browsing are not entirely intuitive.

My fiance always browsed in a single pane on my computer (being used to IE). I showed her how to CTRL-click, CTRL-T, and drag links to other tabs, and she latched on to that pretty well. She doesn't use CTRL-TAB like I do to switch between the various tabs, but she does use the tabs.

But I had to give her a coaching session. Shouldn't really be necessary.

Switch to Mozilla - we have it, and are not going to remove it (we'll actually have to do extra work to keep it around for the 1.9 release as a result of increased code sharing between Firefox and Mozilla). FYI, you can double-click the tab bar in Firefox to get a new tab.
