i've been using firefox for a good half almost half a year without any problems, but yesterday (after having reinstalled windows), i opened firefox and i went to myspace.com, and the second i went to it, the screen started to shake/vibrate, after that it's been doing so to almost every place i go. sometimes it will vibrate the second i open it, other times it will start doing it after i open a second tab in the same window.

anybody else had this issue? how do i fix it? is this caused by a virus or a spyware? although i find it hard to believe i'd get that from visiting myspace.com

Some people get that when they have mice with shaky scroll wheels. The thing can't make up it's mind and keeps slipping up and down. Don't know if that's what you're seeing...

thing is that, it happens when i open my firefox browser with the default homepage on (the google firefox page) and that page does not have scroll bars. so i dont think its necessarily that

Search for this problem here. It's been mentioned before. In one of the other threads there was a link or CTho9305 pasted IRC logs that explained some things. IIRC, wheel mice and non-standard windows themes can cause this.

im not sure if i fixed the problem, but its not occuring anymore, i basically just installed a plug-in (macromedia flash 7.0) and the second it was done d/ling it and installed, the browser stopped shaking.

i tried to search for it in this forum, but i didnt quite see it, but then again i didnt really look past page 1.

there were 2 bookmarks to the quicklaunch already, the default ones that comes with the browser. but i find it tedious if thats the only way to fix it. but before reinstalling windows and such, i did put a bunch of bookmarks on the tool bar, and i actually prefer having certain bookmarks there so i guess i wouldnt mind if thats the only way to fix it. but i'll have to see, cuz right now it stopped after i installed the plug in, but i dont see the relevance as of why it could've fixed it by just installing macromedia, since google-firefox homepage doesnt have any plug-ins needed.
