Firefox saved passwords

Tried the search and no results,
How do we export all the saved passwords on firefox manually WITHOUT using google browser sync? Tried Google browswer sync and I find it very annoying, I just did a clean install of my system on my laptop and forgot some of the passwords to websites w/c is all stored at my work PC.

You can copy your profile over then copy it back. So copy the contents of C:\Documents and Settings\youruser\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\hdc8bb96.default\ into a folder, then to restore go to that path (except for the last folder) and find the .default folder and copy the data to it. hdc8bb96 is random per install I believe so it wont be called the same thing, but will be your default profile.

Firefox data is stored here, so I would guess saved passwords as well. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I would test it before you format, to be safe.

Yes, that will work. I just tried this monday after a clean install. It will restore passwords, cookies, bookmarks, preferences and even plug-ins.

Tried it and it worked. I just copied all of the files (no subfolders) to my lappy and everything is the same with my desktop.
thanks a bunch
