FireFox Problems! How do you uninstall it completely?

For some reason my firefox is having major problems lately. I just installed 1.0 a few days ago and noticed that I am having problems with javascript and firefox closing completely. For example, when I press the "quote" button on the forums, no box pops up. In addition, whenever I close firefox with the X button, it is still running in my processes.

I have tried uinstalling Firefox through Add/remove software as well as deleting the folder in Document Settings/Application Data/Mozilla but the darn thing still won't uinstall completely, as everytime I reinstall it, all my bookmarks and extensions are still there. Thus, does anyone know what the heck is going on? How do I COMPLETELY remove this beast so I can try reinstalling it to start from scratch?

Here to see about profiles.

Your settings are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ and are kept seperate for each user. So that would be the folder you'd want to delete.

Or just: C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\ if your using Windows 98/ME

Don't forget http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/
or the help forums at www.mozillazine.org

I don't know were it's saving your settings... Do a search for bookmarks.html, that stores your bookmarks and without that you have to loose all your bookmarks.

Otherwise create a new profile, from Firefox's help webpage:
In order to create a new profile, you use the Profile Manager. To start the Profile Manager, follow these steps:

1. Close Firefox completely (select File > Exit from the main menu of Firefox).
2. Select Start > Run... from the Windows Start menu.
3. Enter firefox.exe -profilemanager and press OK.

see:
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile

Once you have that dialog open create a new profile and see if that helps. Then when you get a chance delete the old profile.
