I downloaded an extension (I forget which one specifically) for tabbed browsing - the one with the tabs at the bottom. It's nice except that I can't force every new window to be opened in my current browser window. They're opened in a new browser window. I'd like to keep all the tabs in one browser window.

Not sure which one you're using but I'm using TabBrowser Extensions which allows you to force same window. It also allows you to put tabs at the bottom, didn't know that until now. Thanks :)

Anyways, if your extension supports the same window thing you'll have to open up its configuration dialog to set it up. Click "Tools" then "Extensions". Find the relevant extension in the list (you'll have to know which one it is ;)) and click "Options". For TabBrowser Extensions you'll want the "General" item from the tree on the left.

You could use Opera. I like it better. I am not aying you will but you may. If not you can open a link in a new tab by clicking it with the middle mouse button on scroll mouses.

DUH! I went to the options and found it. What a noob!

I'm actually moving away from Opera. It has too many rendering problems and it has been getting worse lately. :(

Many sites I visit have problems being displayed, especially with menus. Some graphics are displayed over text, some text is not aligned properly. Other sites lock up altogether and refuse to load. Firefox has fewer problems. IE has none, but it has its own set of problems. :)
