I recommend to use the keyboard shortcuts. Command-T, respectively Command-N. If you still want to use the context menu, you can navigate with the arrow and enter key.

Dont think that is it. I mean in the right click menu on any mac program, the options in the context menu, none of them have a letter underlined that correspond to that option. Like New Folder has a F underlined. New Tab has the T underlined etc etc.

My post just mentioned how to open a link in a new tab. I don't know about your issue and don't have any of my Macs around to try it.
