Firefox / Norton Internet Security 2007 (pop-ups)

Hi,

I use the latest version of firefox & just downloaded (updated) Norton Internet Security 2007. I updated from the 2005 version of NIS (subscriptions running out). The 2005 version blocked pop ups and ads on sites excellent in firefox & IE.

The new 2007 version block doesn't ads / pop-ups and firefox allows tons of them. I have setup firefox to block pop ups but to no avail. I wasn't aware of all the ads that are out there.

Any suggestions, this is annoying..
 
Sounds like if those popups are still getting through in mass, you might have an adware infection. See my sig and check for adware.
