Firefox Nightly - what have they done with my "Bookmark all tabs" right-click tab option?

AFAIK, that was the only way to do it, right-click on a tab, then select "Bookmark all tabs". Now it's GONE!!!?

Does anyone know, is there a way to get this option back? Maybe I'm the only person who used it, but it was an invaluable option to me.

This reminds me of how they removed the "Print Page" option from the right-click menu. At least in that case, there is also a "Print Page" option on the File menu.

There's no such option for "Bookmark all tabs" on the Bookmarks menu.

*MAD*

Edit: There's a "Select all tabs" option, after which selecting it, allows me a "Bookmark tabs..." option, that appears to do what I want.

Sorry, false alarm. Now it takes two steps.

I just noticed your edit. So they're making that feature more capable by the sounds of things.

Out of curiosity though, why are you using nightlies?

(oops, typo)

Why not? They're the newest code, just about. Kind of bleeding edge, and I don't recommend them for non-enthusiasts, but you get to "live" a Firefox version two versions ahead of the released version. Which meant that I was running the newly-optimized version for a month or two ahead of everyone else.

"The newest code" includes code not fit for release. Pre-beta.

Before LibreOffice adopted a model of a 'fresh' and 'stable' branch, I found enough regressions with basic features in the latest 'fresh' release version to warrant going back to the previous release I knew to be stable.

What masochistic "enthusiasm" do you have that makes you want to sacrifice stability and usability for a likely zero noticeable benefit? The only reason I've ever used a nightly build was when on occasion I've contributed to a bug report and the request has gone out to test a nightly build to see if the problem has been fixed. The only time in the last ten years (probably more) have I noticed any difference in FF performance due to its development was when multi-process support was introduced.

I could understand your interest if we were talking about Phoenix <1.0, when changes were a lot more likely to be major and therefore far more compelling for the average user.

That sounds like firefox. Take something simple and useful and make it worse. Restore Previous Session used to be in history (which makes complete sense) but now it's in the menu. It's beyond me why it can't be in both places.

It's easy to get caught up in "Ooh, new stuff!". I was historically like that, but after review, I mostly lost in jumping on the bleeding edge. I now run debian stable, and I just use it, and it works; no surprises. I'm not interested enough in tracking bug reports and regressions anymore. It's old, it works, and it's fine. Nice and boring :^)

Released version is not even stable enough, not gonna to mess up the system with Nightly version, be it Chrome or Firefox.
