Firefox - Much slower loading pages nowadays than IE

It used to always be faster until sometime last week... Now pages can sometimes take forever to load in Firefox, while if i right click and 'Load in IE' it comes up almost instantly.

I applied that speed tweak awhile back, should i maybe undo it?

Yea I noticed something like this too. I wasn't sure if it was my imagination though. On occasion I come to a page that just won't load, or loads very slowly on FF, and I gotta bust out IE to get it to work.

Oh well. Anyone else?

I was waiting for the 1.0 Final to come out before I tried Firefox but with the long list of user bugs I've been reading about I think I'll stick with IE until the next revision comes out.

Meh, any piece of software is going to have a huge list of bugs. If we could compare the Mozilla bugzilla database to MS's IE bug database I bet the IE one would be at least twice a big, the difference is that MS won't show you theirs while Mozilla is open about their problems and progress in fixing them.

It works fine for me.

I doubt IE's bug database is anywhere near the size of Mozilla's. That doesn't mean that there are less bugs in IE, of course.

It's all speculation so noone can really say either way. But you do realize that even small things like asthetic fixes are (or at least should be, if MS is doing things right) logged in the bug database. Anyway size was probably the wrong attribute to look at, I would be surprised if MS had seperate bug databases for each product so entries would probably be a better thing to key in on. And there's over 20 products in the Mozilla bugzilla database, not all of them browser related so it's going to have an inflated size too.
