FireFox Issues

Got some issues since I went over to 1.0

At first when I installed 1.0, I noticed that most of the extensions I used regularly were not supported and so I went back to .93.

Then, I noticed that I started having slugglish performance when switching tabs. Normally, the switch should be instantaneous, but now a slight lag appears, and sometimes it's almost like the browser stalls when trying to switch tabs. It's really annoying since I'm used to the lightning quick response of my previous FireFox experiences.

I went back to 1.0 hoping that might cure my issues, but no luck. I decided to stick with 1.0 and see if I could fix the problems from 1.0. I still have no idea what might be causing the problem.

With the extensions that don't work, I've tried uninstalling them, but they won't go away.

It permanently says "This item will be uninstalled after you restart Firefox". I've restarted both Firefox and Windows numerous times, and the message still exists for those extensions.

Finally, I have 2 extensions that instead of listing the normal name and version in the extensions menu, lists the file name (gm-notifier-03_3.xpi is one). I know what both of them do (the first is gmail notifier and the second is duplicate tab), but they won't uninstall. They won't even display the "This item will be uninstalled after you restart Firefox" dialogue.

Any help is appreciated.

Had the uninstall of extentions last night when I decided to try out 1.0. All I did was uninstall Firefox and delete the folders C:\programs\Mozilla Firefox, plus the one in C:\Documents and Settings\RudeBoie\Application Data.

You'll need to have hidden folders viewable to go through Documents and Settings.

Oh and back up your bookmarks, etc. before you decide to go that route.

Ah, I guess I was hoping to avoid that, but I may just do that to see if that'll fix my speed problem.

Thanks though :)
