I have a problem with Firefox... not sure what happened. Ran Ad-Aware and also an Antivirus program which cleaned up a lot of junk including some trojans so maybe this is just an after-effect.
Anyway, when I first open Firefox, the internet doesn't work and I get an error message saying the server is refusing connections. In order to fix this, I have to manually reset my connection settings. I go through Tools - Options (or something similar) and get to a tab called "Advanced" where there is a Settings button. I click there; and see that Firefox has set itself to a manual proxy connection. When I change this to a direct internet connection, it works fine. But once I close firefox and reopen it, it's reverted back to the manual proxy connection and I have to change it again.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox; even deleted the entire Mozilla folder that's left behind after the uninstall; nothing works. Downloaded the latest version, did not work. Where else can I look for the problem? I'm sick of using Explorer.
