FIrefox - How do you open files without downloading the whole thing ?

WIth IE, you can click on certain links (like mpg or mp3) and it will open them
up right away in Windows Media Player while downloading the rest.

So far, tis is the only combination I've found to work.

With Firefox and WMP, the file will download completely before opening.

With IE, and any other media player program set as the default (Winamp, MPC, etc)
the file will download completely before opening.

Any way to get either one of those combinations to work like IE and WMP ?

Once I got it to work with some plugin from japan or something.

Unfortunately they caught my sub in there waters and took away my plugin🙁

The submarine part is true.

I see under the plugins option in Firefox, some file types that will stream...

How do you add other file types to the plugins option field ?
