Firefox hangs/freezes on ebay only

I'm having a problem with Firefox, both 2.0.0.13 and 3.0 beta 4, accessing any websites works fine, but when I try to use ebay.com, the browser starts to load the page, but quickly ends up hanging while loading the page and any further browsing to any site will freeze until I exit and restart Firefox

any ideas ?

I notice they have several javascripts on their front page, maybe try temporarily disabling javascript in Firefox.

it started before I installed Firefox 3. Actually I only installed FF3 because this problem popped up and I hoped it would fix it, however it did not.

IE does not seem to encounter the problem. I've disabled all extensions on FF3 to no avail, and limited to DownloadStatusBar and All-in-one Gestures on FF2 which I've used forever w/ no problems and its not that.

I did recently tweak the following about:config settings, however I don't believe the problem popped up until several weeks after I did them.

note, these are some pretty extremely "greedy" settings, but I am running on an aggregate 30-megabit internet connection, round-robin load balanced over three WAN connections (cable 10mbit, dsl 10mbitx2) with pfsense router. I added these firefox tweaks to try and max out web browsing speed

network.http.max-connections 90
network.http.max-connections-per-server 42
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy 16
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server 20
network.http.pipelining true
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests;150
network.http.proxy.pipelining;true
network.http.pipelining.ssl;true

I'll try un-mucking with them and see if it fixes anything
