Firefox: Google searches crash my poor Firefox

Hi, Im on widows XP and everytime i try to serch on google my firefox crashes. Ive tried making a new profile and I have tried reinstalling the app. It seems I cant search for the term "yahoo". It hangs on "transferring data from: www.google.com" and no longer responds. Anyone had a similar problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have firefox on two seperate XP boxes and never had any problem. Out of curiosity, are you using the builtin google search bar or going to google.com?
