Firefox, google, and HTTPS

I am trying to use google and it is very slow. So I noticed all the results are loading in https, which might explain some of the lag. But I cant figure out how to make firefox load the http version. It just keeps changing it to https. Does anyone know how to fix this?

not sure.. have you tried a different profile? i haven't seen any issues with HTTPS on my end.

Do you have an account on google? as in, logged in? That would be the only way I think it'd bring you to https all the time. I'm logged into my gmail here and it comes up with https, but if I log out and go to google it goes to http.

If you are logged in, go into your gmail account settings, under general, Browser connection, and select "don't always use https" and see if that works...
