Firefox, gmail attachments, and you

I've been searching google as I'm sure this is not the first case of this issue, but I haven't figured out what to call it yet. When I send files in an email Firefox will not let me delete them until I close the browser window. It's like it isn't releasing the file handle of the last file in the list. If I attach 5 files, the first 4 can be deleted but the last one gives an error until I close the browser window.

Does anyone have more information on this or know of a way to fix it?
