How much memory is your current Firefox process taking ?
140MB or 1.7% of my system ram.
276MB, got tons of tabs open
Anywhere from 70 mb to 1gb.
1 gb ?
I have like 40 tabs open, so 250,000k-ish.
Yea, take lots and of tabs and put lots and lots of videos and stuff in them ^_^
173 8 tabs open
Currently 503mb peak.
191MB with 11 tabs open.
Stuff eh?
Mine is at 204mb with just Anandtech open and the download manager.
I've had the same instance of Firefox running for a few days now, I'm sure if I closed it the memory usage would go down.
I've seen it grow to over 700mb with tabs and tabs of "stuff."
525MB with 3 tabs. I've had it opened for like 3 days straight though. I always just minimize. I should probably close it when I'm done uploading this youtube vid... wonder when they'll fix that memory leak issue.
My computer is actually ridiculously slow right now because of this. It's probably swapping like mad.
lol I was waiting for someone to say this. This was not the point of the thread. Just wanted to see how similar memory usage was for people's firefox.exe*32 process.
Even with AFurryReptile's 40 tabs open with 250,000k-ish memory usage may seem a little insane with ram usage but heck I would be happy with 500 MB of memory usage when having 40 tabs open. That is a lot of tabs to have open at once.
RedSquirrel so how much ram do you have?
~111,000 KB Private Working Bytes with three AT Forums tabs open.
~123,000 KB Commit Size
Windows 7 x64
It's been open for maybe 3 hours.
217,876k with 5 tabs open. Generally have firefox open with gmail loaded at least.
640K, so it's using half of my RAM.
I need a ramdisk.
your firefox must be pretty optimized to use only 640kb of ram!
i'm at 337MB for 6 tabs
30 tabs 240 MB. I rarely go over 50.
it's not using any for me....
too many weird things using ff
