Firefox downloading page instead of executing page

There is a webapp that I normally use, it was running fine in firefox, when I clicked on it, it would just start running (it is a Citrix app) normal, now all of a sudden whenever I click on it, Firefox wants to download that link instead of executing it, and I don't know why. In fact the "run as" button is greyed out and I only have the option to "save as" then when I save it to the desktop and try to double-click it, it obviously has to crap out instead of running currectly. Has anybody ever experienced anything similar to this where Firefox wants to download something instead of just executing it?

The server is probably sending a bogus content type or content-disposition header, and Firefox respects what servers say.

Yup, this is definetly an issue with the content that is getting served up; the app admin is going to need to fix it.

See I don't think that's it, because on another firefox client it opens up fine. So it looks like it's something on my particular client. Any ideas? Like I said, when I run it on IE it's fine.

So back to this issue at hand. Like I said I used another firefox client and went to the same website and it opens up the application fine. So I see that firefox also has an option to set what applications open up certain links, but when I click on this particular link/app, it's greyed out and I can't choose an application to open it with. Does anybody have any idea how to deal with this, or have experienced this before?

So now I'm confused; is FF downloading the source code for the page or is it prompting to download the HTML output from the script?

What's the app/file type?

Like I said, when I run it on IE it's fine.

That's irrelevant, IE makes it's own guesses as to a file's mime type after it's downloaded no matter what the server says.

If you mean an ICA file, then the ICA plugin is most likely not installed correctly in Firefox or the filetype isn't associated properly.

ok, if the filetype isn't associated properly, how do I fix that? My guess is in the "Download Actions" options page for FF...but that page doesn't allow for manual additions. I'm pretty certain I tried reinstalling the citrix plugin, but i can give it one more shot. After that it's reinstalling firefox. But if anybody has any other ideas please let me know.

If the ICA plugin doesn't show up in about:plugins you should probably fix that first.
