Firefox certificate warnings, now IE too

Lately, I have been getting wayy too many warnings for websites with certificates that are not matching, including google, amazon, etc. Only happens on this computer. I redownloaded and reinstalled firefox (with same settings, etc.) but to no avail.

Anyone know wht the heck is going on? I have Kaspersky installed recently. Can that be the source of the problem.

Update: Same problem happens with IE now. Looks like the certificates need to be updated on my computer? How exactly do I go about clearing these?

weird, I just tried re-syncing with the time server and got:

"An error occurred while Windows was synchronizing with time.nist.gov"

whats going on with my machine?

EDIT: Time was synchronized with the windows server

Open Kaspersky Settings and click "Traffic Monitoring" on the left-hand side, see if "Check all encrypted connections" is selected.

Yup, its checked.

I tried disabling it, looks like it might be better.

It would be helpful to know the error(s) you are getting from the prompts.

Its a same old Cant verify the certificate warning. Gives you option to Accept for this session, accept permanently, or deny. Also, there is an option for Examine Certificate.

I cant reproduce now since...

I ran Windows Update and there was a Root Certificates update (non-critical) which I installed. Also, the Kaspersky thing above might have worked.
