Firefox bug? Editing bookmark with star

So when you have a site bookmarked you see a gold star in the address bar. In the past I could click there, the window pops up where you can edit the bookmark. Since like version 7 I cannot edit the bookmarks that way because the window goes away as soon as I move my mouse down to it.

I thought it was some extension causing it so I made a clean profile, no extensions installed, and it still does it. Does anyone else have this issue?
 
Just tested this with a site i had bookmarked and when i clicked on the gold star the edit window did pop up for me.
Tried it on 2 successfully.
