Firefox Browser - What does it really track?

I've been using Firefox on my PC for years and I recently loaded Firefox android on my phone. Much to my surprise, I noticed my PC's Firefox browsing history was showing up on my phone's Firefox browser.

Exactly how much information is Mozilla tracking? I do a lot of banking on-line and am concerned about confidential information being logged.

Thoughts?

I thinks its related to Firefox Sync

Where's all my data?

Your data is safely stored on Mozilla's servers. Sync uses advanced security measures so your information can't be seen by others, even Mozilla. See Firefox Sync data is secure - Find out more for more.

How much of my data is synced?

Any of the following can be synchronized with the Mozilla server:

Bookmarks — including all tags, keywords, folders, and your custom menu order
Passwords
Preferences/Options of Firefox
History of sites visited in the last 60 days
Tabs and tab groups
Add-ons installed on your computer or mobile device

It can be disabled, and that's its default state. Not sure why your seeing it if you didn't explicitely set it up.

Yep, you have to activate Mozilla Sync to make it work - You create an account. So you must have enabled it on both your desktop and your phone.
