Ok, I was using firefox like normal, and came upon a site i needed to use that wouldnt work with it. So i just opened up IE and went along using it. When I went back to firefox, all my bookmarks were friggin gone. These bookmarks were absolutely imperative to my work. PLEASE HELP ME FIND A WAY TO RESTORE THEM.

You have no bookmarks at all or Firefox restored the default bookmarks? Maybe you somehow switched to another profile? Run firefox with the -p switch to change profiles. Also, check your profile folder to see if your bookmark.html file is still there.

C:/ -> Documents and settings -> (your user name) -> Application Data -> Mozilla -> Firefox -> Profiles -> k2opul0g.default -> bookmarks.htm

if it isn't there then... i don't know where they went. Mabye a system restore point will bring them back?

enable hidden folders. and you HAVE to go via my computer then to your hard drive and right click -> explore. not just in my documents.

Application Data is a hidden folder. If you just type in the folder path, WinXP should load it up.

Go to:

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data

And then browse to your Firefox profile under Mozilla/Firefox, I belive. Your profile is stored in a folder with a randomly generated name.

I looked, and the bookmark folder is empty. This is odd, i wonder how this happened.
