Hello, I recently got an issue where videos on internet are blanked out. So I figured, I'd reinstall firefox. I copied my ''profiles'' folder as backup. Now that I have re-installed Firefox, the bookmarks don't get added even though I put copy the backup profile folder into the original folder.

I would be sad to lose all of my bookmarks. Anyone know perhaps a solution?

they are stored in some database format, I think JSON is file extension, you should be able to do import if you can find the file.

If youre running Windows 7 your backups are in: C:\Documents and Settings\{User Name}\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\bookmarkbackups. The file looks like this: "bookmarks-2012-XX-XX.json"

MozBackup is a great little freeware app that allows you to backup and restore bookmarks, mail, contacts, history, extensions, passwords, add-ons, cache etc., in Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, Mozilla Sunbird, Flock, SeaMonkey, Mozilla Suite, Spicebird, Songbird and Netscape profiles.

MozBackup allows you to select where your backups are saved. You'll always know exactly where they're at.
