Firefox blocking the 'new topic' popup

For some reason Firefox blocks the popup window that is suppose to come up when I click New topic. I have forums.anandtech.com as an allowed site, but it stills blocks it, and even clicking "show forums.anandtech.com...." doesn't do anything, it's still blocked. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the fact that I have TBE set to tab-mode always, since I want all tabs, but is there anyway around this?

So to post this message I had to bust out my favorite browser of all-time, IE 6.0. ;) :(

TBE has issues with unblocking allowed popups.. that is why I ditched it and used tabbrowser preferences instead :(

I just uninstalled TBE and so the popups work fine now, but when I installed Tabbrowser Preferences it says not compatible with 1.0RC. Or are you using an older FF still?

The build of Firefox I'm using is about as new as it gets as of today :)

From another thread, try this:

there's a hack to force extensions to work, assuming the RC Build did not really break extension

Easy workaround, Close Firefox,
open \%appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\randomname\extensions\Extensions.rdf
and change maxVersion="0.10" to maxVersion="1.0" (there may be a few).

this has been posted all over the mozillaline forums and etc ..
