Is there a way to set Firefox in Ubuntu so that when I hit backspace it goes back a page? For some reason it works in my folder file system, but I can't get the browser to do it like in Windows and MacOS.
Default in Linux is alt lt arrow for back, and alt rt arrow for fwd. I don't know why it's different than Windows, but I assume it's from historic use. I used to change my Linux boxes to backspace, but stopped. The alt arrow keys work well enough, and I don't like using too many custom keys, because I won't have them on a foreign computer.
That site did the trick, you are a savior. I almost get enraged when I am surfing and I hit the backspace and it doesn't go back. You could possibly be saving me from a heart attack.
