Firefox and Windows Media Player

This has been bothering me for a while.... how do you get windows media player stuff to play in firefox? It has never worked on my desktops, even after several formats and reinstalls of windows. However, when I first got my laptop and reformatted, it works perfectly fine in firefox.

Does anyone know how to fix this? It's bugging me quite a bit to have to change to IE just to see something.
 
Yea, even using the IE Tab addon in some cases still doesn't work. I'm also curious. I love IE 7 beta, but I gotta have my extensions!!!!
