Firefox and Internet explorer cookies

I was having problems with my credit card login at the bank website, so I called tech support and he told me to delete my cookies and files on the internet explorer, but i told him i also use firefox and he said that the cookies for Microsoft internet explorer and Firefox are stored in the same folder?


My question is is this true, it kinda didnt sound right to me? is he right, im newb on computers 😛.

See? This really pisses me off! Someone from the bank's tech support told him that? Okay, to calm down and answer your question: No, they're not in the same folder.

Firefox: The easiest way is open Firefox, click Tools --> Options --> Privacy --> View Cookies. If you want to remove a cookie, click it, and then click Remove Cookie.

IE: In Documents and Settings, click on which User you are. You'll see the directory "Cookies" which are IE's cookies..
