Firefox and IE spontaneously won't launch.

Seems like when I boot my pc and start Firefox or IE they launch just fine. Even after I close them and re-open them a few times everything's fine. But after a while if I try to launch either one, neither will open. The hourglass shows that its working but then it just stops. So in order for them to work I need to reboot, but the weird thing is is when I reboot a dialog box comes up asking if I want IE and Firefox to end now. And when I go into task manager, Firefox.exe and iexplore.exe are both running. So they're obviously running but I just cant see them. How do I fix this?

Kill the process when they "spontaneously won't launch." It'll save you the reboot at least for now.
