I've just found yet another cool thing in Firefox which will make my browsing experience much better :)

Press and hold Ctrl, then press 1, 2, 3 etc, and it will jump to that tab! Much quicker than Ctrl-Tab and moving the mouse! :D

Anyone know how to change the tab switching from ctrl+# to Lshift+#? I'm a lazyass and my pinky doesn't want to reach that far :p

still not liking the tabs concept. I'd still rather alt-tab to new windows. More natural hand motion anyway.

re Tabs - i am still always lookign at the taskbar to see what is open etc....need to think twice to look up for tabs.
mind you there is an extension apparantly that lets you put the tabs at the bottom.

starting to get really annoyed with FF now due to random crahses/turns-itself-offs...

Tabs are the only way I can browse easily. If I had a task bar on my home machine, I wouldn't want 10-15 items down there for various websites, I wouldn't know which one was which. Tabs with 2 windows open is just about perfect though.

ITA, n0cmonkey. Tabs are just faster/more organized for me.

Wigwam, sounds like you have a conflict of some sort. FF never crashes for me. Geez, the last time I had a crash was around v. 0.7! Maybe you should re-install or hit the FF forums and get some help.

Everyone else, don't forget to browse the wonderful world of Firefox Extensions. Your life will never be the same.

Way too many crashes. And I've had a couple of critical crashes during data 'submit' points. Aarrrrrg!

I like the tab feature, especially being able to open new pages with a click of the mouse wheel.

Oh, and I can't get FF to play sound files on sites, like www.palmettopoint.net.

After about 2 months of using it now I'm thinking about uninstalling it in favor of IE. Besides the crashing I still occasionally have to use IE to get proper page rendering from some sites -- like when using the 'submit' button on this page Adobe Submit

in XP you can group similar items in taskbar.

Which means an extra click to find something.

Now that's a feature I hate.

what were you doing with chrome edit? Did you have things you changed? it could been the changes you introduced.

Ad-Block is pretty stable if you ask me. I've never had an Ad-Block related crash.

lately, i've noticed alot of Sun Java errors and crashing my firefox. I might have to update my Java version.

i had reservations abotu chrome edit as it did say only upto version 0.9 and i have 0.93; i needed to edit the user chrome file to resize the browser bar and this seemed to be the way to go. luckily the changes stay after the extension is gone [the userchrome.css file is now created and the syntax in place i guess].

i didnt reall notice any benefit to having the adblock to be honest and it seemed abit daunting to set-up....

Ad Block is the shiznit when it works, but it does cause more problems than any other extension I've tried. Especially if you saved your user profile data from a previous version of FF and imported it into .9.3. If you're still having problems, check out the Adblock forum:
