Firefox 8 - Full Screen nice, but how to toggle?

I figure what I'm seeing in FF 8 is a feature, not a bug, OK.... On the Windows 7 machine that I have running it, the browser window defaults to full screen for whatever page I'm on. Nothing extra. To see the usual info at the top including the URL entry, Google search, etc. I move my cursor up there (mouse), fine. However, I have lots of other things open and moving the cursor to the task bar area does not likewise make the taskbar visible, which is confounding. I always have my taskbar visible in Windows. To see it when I've got Firefox in the foreground I have to click the minimize button at the top right of the browser window [-]. Or, I have to do the keyboard combo Alt+tab. Either is a hassle to get from one app to another. Is there an easier way? Is this functionality configurable?

Thanks, evilspoons. That works nicely. I wonder if that works for FF 6! I'll have to try it. I'm on my FF 8 machine now.

That works on every browser AFAIK. I think it's a long held standard.

F11 keys does it just fine, like it does in Internet Explorer and Opera

F11 is pretty standard for toggling full screen mode in a number of different programs.

Dumb me, I never noticed. Sometimes I really should just slow down and smell the flowers, uh, read the menus, walk the grounds and check things out. :$
