So they keep taking away features that few use but love but yet they add features that even fewer will use like the following?

Easier performance management: The new Task Manager page found at about:performance lets you see how much energy each open tab consumes and provides access to close tabs to conserve power

To be fair, that feature sounds tailor-made for the Android phone version of Firefox, where leaving certain pages open in the browser could drain your battery faster. For a desktop, I agree, it hardly matters.

I changed the label because OP's post was not a question, but was an announcement of a new version of FF.
