I did that after doing a full manual uninstall of Java, deleted the 0024 folder and reinstalled the latest Java runtime. Java 7 is due out soon

Firefox 6 (and all previous versions) is truly a Glutton, however I'd say that Firefox 6 is the worse for memory usage so far.
Hopefully, Firefox 7 addresses these issues as promised.

Chrome is so much faster / better but lacks many of the Firefox developer plugins I can't live without :/

curious as to what some of you are doing with FF to have it use over a gig of ram, whenever i mess with it it never climbs that high. do you never close it?

i use opera which is better then everything including memory use
