Firefox 44 Released

I wonder if this fixes the HTML5 streaming radio issues.

Edit: So far, so good. Hmm. 🙂

Edit: Seems faster than my Waterfox 40.1.0. Winner!

Edit: I'm talking about the native Windows x64 version, here.

I'm peeved that the option to ask to allow or deny cookies has been removed.

WOW. JUST WOW.

I can't believe that they took that out. I mean, they added "tracking protection", whatever good that does, but REMOVED the ability to selectively accept cookies? What a load of horse****!

So much for what could have been the "best" browser release in quite some time.

Is there a way to hack it with about😛refs? Some setting, that's not in the UI any more, but still accepted by the back-end?
(Or running both Waterfox 40.1.0 with the same profile, and set up prefs using Waterfox, then close that down, and start up Firefox 44.0 x64?)

All of a sudden I'm getting odd stuttering with some web pages and video in Firefox 43. Lots of "not responding" stalls and then things work. Youtube seems the worst. Anyone else seeing this?

Have you tried 44 yet? I believe that may fix your issues. Otherwise, see if using a new profile or updating video drivers helps.

I have been noticing that Firefox is not handling HTML5 video programming very well. Some videos/web pages have issues ranging from not fully loading to not working at all, others have no problems. Chrome handles all the pages Firefox chokes on with no issues. I have no explanation.

I had an odd freeze yesterday in 44(.0.0) with several tabs open , and I was entering data in one of them. After about a minute I manually stopped the app (from task manager), and when I restarted, it brought up all of my tabs, up to the very last thing I entered in one of them (and I have this profile set to normally open a home page). I updated to 44.0.1 this morning, but kudos to Mozilla for not losing all my data on the hard exit.

Not too thrilled with FF removing ask for cookie permission option, but FF seems to have improved on performance and usage with Flash and HTML5 stuff but seems to use a bit more bandwidth. I did a comparison to Opera (64bit), both streaming the Division video at 1080p around the same timeframe.

Hi guys;To tell you the truth FF and Win 10 are not very good Friends at least in my Machines,Chrome is best for Win 10 64 bit, for XP 32 Bit Opera is a better choice since Chrome stopped to support 32bit XP and Vista machines.

Works perfectly fine for me, so I guess some people are having different experiences.

I also had a freeze, and am getting random gfx corruption on both AMD & Nvidia gfx systems.
I can't seem to replicate it yet though.
