Wow, it's uhhhh..........horrible. Super slow and the install itself takes up 29 megs, which is a ton on my D1.

Yeah its way slow. The big plus on it is it can sync your bookmarks and tabs from your home browser.

Google needs to to this from Chrome. Badly.

Android 2.2 has this feature ...

Uh... Chrome to Phone? Yeah...

I tried Fennec while trying to do something specific the other day. The ability to use Firefox plugins (some) is nice, but the browser as a whole simply sucked.

Ok its horrible. Took up 44mb on my phone. Pages are slow to load, text is grainy, no flash support. The mutitouch zoom is cool. You have to scroll your browser all the way to left to see tabs and right to get to settings. Ill stick with opera

I tried it out. I couldn't even get google.com to load. Somehow I got a google search for google itself. Text was so grainy it wasn't legible and when I tried to zoom in it froze. Actually, it froze no matter what after 5 seconds of use. I'll stick with the stock browser.

Works okay on my Samsung Epic, with 4G on. But it's not great. It's choppy and the text rendering sucks.

Has potential if they can get the file size down and improve zooming, scrolling, and text rendering. For now I'll stick to Opera or Dolphin HD.

I was under the impression when I loaded 2.2 that it said it'd sync bookmarks for me.

Maybe it does but because I have never ran official Froyo it never worked for me?

Who knows. Back on subject, if Mozille got this thing to run at a decent speed and not scale the pics as bad as it does, I would switch back to FF for home browsing.

As it stands...Chrome is what I'm using at home with stock web browser for my phone.

This is rediculuous. Mozilla better get there behinds in gear if they hope to dethrone Dolphin HD and Opera as the premiere mobile browsers.

I'd like to see mozilla get this right. For now I'll stick with dolphin hd. I like it better than the stock browser on my captivate.

its looking like they got some of the bugs worked out. I just gave it another go and sync worked great. Browsing isn't quite as fast as I would like but its more bearable.

I just can't figure out how to clear my history??

Android is the first time I never felt like downloading a third party browser. Thats a huge bonus over Blackberries and LG semi-smartphones in my opinion. But its good to know there are alternatives anyway.

Anyone else happy with the stock browser? I love it. I tried dolphin for a while but like the windows over the tabs. I wasn't impressed with opera but use it for one site that doesn't render correctly on anything else. If they would sync bookmarks with Chrome I would be perfectly happy. Chrome to phone is nice but very limited in it's usefullness.

With Dolphin HD, there isn't a chance I would use this slow bloatware. The stock browser even works pretty damn well.

I always end up going back to stock. It does everything it needs to and it does it without issues.

they just did another update and the speed is 100% better. Now that they have that issue ironed out, I'm going with this as my daily browser and FF for my home browser. They sync is perfect!

I just can't figure out how to delete my history....

Yup, huge improvement.

To delete history, turn phone to landscape mode. Swipe left, select settings. Or swipe right. Select folder.icon..history

I was going to post the same thing! While I was reading reviews on mobile browsers I realized the stock is fast and does everything I need. I'm certainly glad other options are available though, since change my mind quite a bit.

stock does just what its supposed to. Its fast, it works but doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles.

I'm loving Firefox even more now that I have used it for a few days exclusively.
