Firefox 3 (and the last few versions of 2) sucks

So it's pretty much unanimous at my work that FF3 sucks. Yeah, its a little more slick than 2, but it crashes or bugs out a LOT. I miss the days (only about 6months ago) when FF was a stable and superior browser. Now, many of us end up using Opera over half the time b/c its as stable as FF used to be and has a quicker interface.

Are a lot of you having FF crashing issues too?

No crashes for me either. I like FF3 a lot. I just had to turn off that smart bookmark thing

I have been using FF3 since it was first released to the public (beta and all) and have not had it crash on me once.

someone was complaining the other day that FF was using like 64 mb of ram. I found mine using 118 mb last night. I had ATOT open and maybe 1 other tab with a webpage loaded. I had maybe 3-4 plugins for it too.

Sounds more like there's a compatibility issue somewhere at your company setup and you did something to fvck up your PCs. Possibly some other software modified registry settings that FF3 doesn't agree with?

Crashed like crazy in the first few days of using it, but has been completely stable since then.

Oh and wrong forum BTW.

Opera is indeed slighty faster than IE7 and lightyears faster than FF2 or 3 from my experience.

Has never crashed on my 4 computers at home.

The crappfest known as IE6 I am forced to use at work.......well it crashed at least a dozen times a day on me.

My FF3 hasn't crashed more than twice since I installed it months ago. Sounds like User Error to me.

Doesn't crash for me at all here. Opera I also agree is faster. But the addons, themes and other customizations make this a winner. Using Userstyles and Glasser extensions can make firefox gorgeous on Vista :D

Wow more people agreeing than I thought, I figured here FF=Toyota....

and another vote for Opera...10yrs and counting. And there is alot of add-ons for Opera as well, just doesn't seem like as many people know about them.
