Since upgrading to Firefox 3.0.11, the other day, my NoScript add-on is borked! I have a *feeling* it's a coincidence though, e.g. NOT Firefox's fault (keep reading).

Here are the problems...

  • - NoScript doesn't work.
    - There is no NoScript button in my status bar.
    - Clicking the NoScript 'Options' button in my add-on menu freezes Firefox.

Yes, I've uninstalled and installed NoScript several times, and...

No, it doesn't work in 'safe mode' either.

Apparently, the NoScript and Adblock Plus developers are at war, trying to disable each other's features - and I run both.

Hrm...

I wonder if I'm experiencing collateral damage?

Mine appears to be working fine as well. It looks exactly the same as before 3.0.11. The issue I've been having with FF lately is it just throttles my CPU to 90 - 100% and doesn't stop. Even after I close FF, the firefox.exe is still running in task manager consuming 100% of the CPU.

Mine is also working fine. Now, my home machine with 7 x64 and Firefox 3.0.11 has stopped saving files. A re-install is in order.

That's happening to me - when I choose the add-on and click 'Options' for NoScript.

And, likewise, even after I close Fx, I have to go stop the process with Task Manager.

I think I'll uninstall Adblock Plus, and see if that makes a difference. Then my other add-ons.

I don't run that many add-ons on the XP Pro machine - just Adblock Plus, NoScript, and IE Tab.

I try to keep that machine clean because, you know, it's just XP and given to problems... ;)

As a follow-up...

I don't know what happened, but none of the usual fixes were working sooo,

As a test, I created a new user, brought up Fx and had it build a new profile, installed Adblock Plus, NoScript, and IE Tab. Worked fine!

Then, I went back to my account, did a bookmark backup - overwrote my Mozilla directory with the 'new' one (from the test user) and did a bookmark restore.

Everything is fine now... ;)
