Firefox 2.0 Download File problem

Ever since I updated to FF2.0, I'm having a strange download problem. Now, FF2.0 will only allow me to download 2 files @ once. If I try to download the 3rd file, FF will not respond until one of the two previous file has completed. Also, it seems like it takes longer time for the download dialog box to pop up than before.

I tried to disable all of my extensions but that doesn't help. And when I upgraded my laptop to FF2.0, it has the same problem as well. But when I try to download those same files at my wife's computer w/ FF1.5, it doesn't have the same problem.

What should I do? Of that's the standard now?

type about:config in your address bar and hit enter

in the filter box type in: network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server

change the value to something higher, restart firefox and try.

If that doesn't work, try upping the values for:

network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy

and

network.http.max-connections-per-server
