have they finished an upgrader yet... all this "you should delete your profiles and what not before you upgrade" business is annoying... dunno if they suggest that here, but it has been in the past. And yes, I know a lot of ppl ignore it, and it works fine, but just to rule out any problems/bugs....

.92 was the first time I used Firefox, so this will be my first upgrade. Am I supposed to uninstall the entire previous version? What about themes and extensions I have downloaded?

Since this is just a bug fix, you should be able to just replace the Firefox folder and leave your profile intact

you're supposed to delete the profile? bollocks to that. I spend ages sorting settings exactly right, and then forget about them. Like I do with my passwords too

And on the topic of Mozilla and security: click me

I like this approach. If browsers are leaky buckets then Mozilla applies relatively cheap patches while ms spends much more money running around trying to shoot people who use the water that leaks out. Ok, maybe that was a bad analogy, but I'm refering to the bounty on hackers rather than bugs.

what happened to their mirrors page btw? maybe their ftp is getting a beating because the download keeps either not starting or starting and just quitting a bit later.

I haven't had any problems with just installing the latest version over what I had installed.
