This thread going onto the old Future MMO favorites folder along with
Jumpgate Evolution(still can't get over that this is virtually KIA)
Fallout Online
Warhammer 40k Dark Millenium
GW2
Tribes Universe
Trion Worlds Defiance
TOR
The Secret World
Planetside Next
Ghost Recon Online

At some point I'm either going to be very disappointed that they all turned out trash or I'll have far more too choose from than I can play...

I imagine this not going too well.

I'm trying not to appear too greedy and just selected one. Otherwise, yes, I'll take her too without any doubt whatsoever.

I'd choose Kaylee as well... always seems so happy! :awe: Apparently, all it takes is showing her a nice engine... that can't be too hard.

I love Firefly, but I do not have high hopes for this game.

Feel the same way.

I think it's b/c the series only lasted 1 season + the movie. I don't feel like I've experienced much with the world of firefly and as such, don't feel a strong desire to play an MMO of it.

With WoW, I had already played Warcraft for a long time and had lots of knowledge of the Warcraft world, so when the MMO came out, I wanted to see the places, cities, creatures, etc in their full glory.

Is this show worth watching? It's on NetflixStream again...but I hate Joss Whedon, so...

:\

(well, let me change "hate" to "strongly dislike.")

I had a lot of fun with it; I have no opinion on Whedon though as I think Firefly was the first thing I had seen of his.

Christina Hendrick's appearance on the show kicked my ass; hotter than anything else on the show IMO.

I don't know what you have seen of his, but I can tell you it's very different from buffy. Sometimes it seems pretty silly, the juxtaposition between westerns and space-operas, but more often than usual they pull it off due it's originality and bounty of ideas.

This is an absolutely brillant show and everyone should see it! its funny, great character development, original plot. absolute shame it got cut after one season.

OK. one short? season isn't too much of a commitment. I certainly stuck with the Dennis Leary fireman show way longer than it deserved (finished season 2. should have stopped halfway through season 1)

since it was canceled way too soon, as fanboys say, is the end going to piss me off?

No, that's what the movie is for.

Not really. They were notified before filming the last episode or two that they were canceled, so there were no huge cliffhangers. They wrapped stuff up decently. What they didn't wrap up in the show got wrapped up in the movie.

And yes, if there's anything that pisses you off, it's probably going to be the movie follow-up, Serenity.

A note about watching the show: Watch the episode (not the movie) Serenity first, followed by the Train Job. The rest should be in order. (Ah, good. Netflix has them in the correct order.) Stupid execs and their forcing a refilming of the pilot, making things more confusing than it needed to be.
