this series is amazing, so sad that it got cancelled. Here's hoping it gets brought back!

The movie was great, I'd like to go back and watch the series, maybe this is my chance. I feel like only 14 episodes will make me want more, however. :( Who knows, maybe it'll pull a Family Guy and with enough DVD sales it'll be brought back. (Doubtful, this one won't be picked up by the college community)

This is SUCH a good series. I saw the movie, then got the Firefly DVD as a gift.

This is easily worth $20.

This series is one of the top selling dvds on Amazon for several years straight. They will never bring the series back, Joss would never work with Fox ever again. Fox owns Firefly hence why the movie was called Serenity. There is a Firefly mmpog coming out though.... Of course it will problem never get released.

Is $20 supposed to be a great price? I bought it for that much at Target a couple months ago...

I've seen this for as low as just $15, I bought it at $20 and would do it again, it's very good, didn't think I would like it that much!

Still tempted regardless of price. For those of you who are fans, does the series have a sense of true conclusion at the end; or since it was canceled, does it just sorta end abruptly (thus the movie)? Is there enough in 14 episodes to make it worthwhile (seems like many of you think so). I suppose I could look at it as an episodic movie?

This series is well worth picking up, even for 14 episodes. It's been a while, but the last (I think) episode, The Message, has a real sense of finality to it. It's not a true conclusion, but they knew they were canceled, and it feels over. Semi abruptly. But it's an awesome ride while it lasts.

The movie "Serenity" tied up most of the lose ends. Great series. Great concept. Too bad most folks would rather watch BigBrother or Dancing with the Stars :(

I thought the ending was quite abrupt. There is still a ton that isn't explained about the main plotline. There isn't even an episode involving Reavers in the series! Let alone the story about River.

But there is awesome character development, and most of the episodes are short all inclusive stories that are all really good.

It definitely does leave you wanting more but its a really good series nevertheless. I saw Serenity first and watched this afterwards and it had me sucked in. Joss Whedon should've stuck with the CW or something instead of Fox, its too bad this show cant be brought back and instead we get the whales who landed onshore and try to sing on American Idol.
