Great deal - I bought it for $19.99 at Amazon a while back. Picked up two for gifts. :D

Hulu seems to have greatly reduced the amount of episodes available for TV shows. I was watching pretender, and shortly after I finished the first season they removed the last 3 seasons. Leaving only the season I already watched. I also watched through firefly when it was all available. It seems the studios are trying to get people to go out and buy the DVD sets after they get you hooked through hulu. Smart, but it sucks. I know if I had been stuck in the middle of firefly I woulda gone out and bought the series at the presale price just because it was so awesome. I still bought two copies at this price though.

First 5 episodes are up on Hulu if you want to give it a shot first.

If anyone watches the episodes on Hulu, be sure to watch them by episode number NOT air date. The shows were originally out of order so if you watch them by air date you will not be seeing the show in its original intended order.

Bought a couple for gifts as well. If you watch Nathan Filion's new show Castle last week he dressed up as Mal for Halloween. Was actually hilarious!!

Thanks OP, bought it. Love this show, and am happy to send some money Joss Wheadon's way. When I picked up the DVDs, the BB employee asked, "Did this series just come out? People have been picking it up like mad all day!"

The BB employee asked me the same when I was picking mine up. :D

Thanks, OP!

Picked up FireFly tonight at BB. Several BB employes remarked that
it was a great show. All that in addition to the glowing reports on
this thread.

Also picked up "Serenity" for an additional $9.99 + tax. It seems that
this is the conclusion to the FireFly series. Correct me if I'm wrong,
as I haven't seen them yet. :)

Serenity was what would have been the second season of Firefly, but made into a movie instead. Ties up some interesting loose ends, and solves a puzzle or two.

Definitely a good purchase; great character development, funny dialogue, and interesting extrapolations on bits of the future. A testament to the myopia of Fox execs as well.

This is a great series, well worth $13, bought 2, one for a gift, one for myself...

Then happened to the clearance section where i found a new 7.1 receiver that i didn't really need, but was a good price.... so why not?

So 2 Firefly sets, $26 + discounted receiver (Yamaha RX-V863) $350.... yeah Hot Deal!

Fuzzy: yeah, that's how they getcha. Happens to me all the time! :)

And yes, this is a great deal on a wonderful series. Picked it up when they dropped the price on Amazon to $17 a few years ago, worth it at that price, too. At $13 you'd be crazy not to own it.
