lemme guess, if it sells well they'll consider a sequel blah blah. Damn fox to hell for destroying this show.

Well the DVD set sold well so they did already make a movie. I don't think they will do much more.

Even though I have the movie on HD, I bought the series for $15 at Target and it looks great on my A2.

The movie project wasn't really contingent on DVD sales, from what I recall. If anything, there was going to be a trilogy of movies, but that isn't going to happen now.

Sci-Fi channel should buy it, there are gobs of FF fans who would get cable/satellite or whatever to watch it.

EDIT : By 'Buy it', I mean revamp/continue the series. They could even make a prequel (where Wash isn't dead, etc).

Then there would be no Simon or River, though. They would be better off making the year between series and movie, then ignoring the movie and covering all of the movie material more in-depth and spread out over seasons as would have been done had FOX not screwed them over.

I recently saw "Serenity" and really liked it. I've never seen "Firefly." Should I rent them? Or will I be disappointed because there's no closure on the series?

Serenity is supposed to be the closure to the series. But yes...very much worth purchasing, even though you're left wanting so much more.

I really hope they resurrect the series. It has such a huge cult following IMO it would be ridiculous not to, even if they have to lower the budget.

Bah, I just bought the series a month back. Been so busy I still got a few episodes left. I will be buying Serenity in the near future though. HHope it comes out on Blu-ray, but I don't know like the idea of using my PLAYstation as a movie player...

I have had my PS3 for about 5 months now, and I still have never inserted a game disc in the player of any kind. All I use it for is a blue-ray/DVD player. I would not worry about it at all.

I snagged the episodes in HD off TV when they aired. They're decent, but could be better. Will definitely get this.

The PS3 is a fantastic Blu-ray player. Does absolutely everything the other players do and has fewer compatibility issues than any of the other players. Get the remote, act as though it's merely a Blu-ray player with a fancy interface and you'll be satisfied.

Firefly is the second best sci-fi series ever behind Futurama. Fantastic show, though apparently it's just a metaphor for raping women. Who knew?

Serenity wangslapped the storyline that could have been in FF.

If they were to remake the series/continue it, which they won't, they would be wise to pretend that POS never existed.
